Aerial Silks Training

Aerial silk is a type of art form in which one or more artists perform aerial acrobatics while hanging from a special fabric. Silks are a challenging “vertical” workout that will tone, tighten and recruit every muscle in your body. You will learn to defy gravity as you climb, flip, wrap and drop in these gorgeous silk ribbons.

Performers climb the suspended fabric without the use of safety lines. They use the fabric to wrap, suspend, fall, swing, and spiral their bodies into and out of various positions. Aerial silks may be used to fly through the air, strike poses, create shapes and perform combinations of skills learned.

Silk is a beautiful combination of circus and dance. Sophisticated and elegant, the combination of strength, flexibility and artistry will get you floating on air while toning the entire body.

You will first learn fundamental techniques and gradually work towards more advanced movements higher on the silks. This one-on-one training is taught by Delphine Shortill, a personal trainer and professional aerial silk artist. She trains with her own state of the art equipment.
